I was told I should you PVC cement made for the flexible tubing.. Just wanted to make sure that this would be reef safe and ok to use for my tank... or will standard PVC cement be fine?

Vinyl or spa hose?
Vinyl- Not necessary. Hose clamps work fine. Plastics for submersed applications....
Spa hose- I've used regular PVC cement with no problems. A wise man once told me to use the blue glue.....
Either way, once any of the glues/cements are dry, there is no worries.
