Tagging along on this thread...awsome thread...

I think we should take up a collection of all unwated sump mates and send them to DM and Tim for use in upcomming events?

We provide the food he provides the entertainment.

Like if his LFS has something we'd like to see VS tim...I'd PP him a few bucks to get it....and then we get to see the story unfold and time gets fed....Win/Win Situation!

destiny you have to get a web cam set up to Tim's kingdom. A mantis such as Tim with such a huge fan base needs to be in the spotlight all the time. these random posts just are not going to cut it for the fans much longer.

I think he'd have like 100 people trying to view it at once..
Tim is quite the movie star...

I really like the full tank photo with the locations of all the other tank mates...too funny.

I'd really like to see Tim VS a big sally lightfoot. Those things are mean and fast.

A friend of mine has a couple in his 120 that have grown to 6" across...big and fast...yes they are...but not really mean. They are opportunists...not killers.

*WHEW*

So Tim had me a bit worried... I hadn't seen him in over a week and his molts generally don't take that long. Last night he did pop out for a meal of shrimp pellets (for which he glared at me through the front glass for a solid minute before accepting) and I think to show off a bit.

He's looking really great. One thing I did notice, his eye-replacement-antena was much shorter than I last remember it being... and possibly curly-Q'd.

I'd laugh, but he's close by...

I'll try to capture images tonight and this weekend.

In unrelated news, no one has yet replied to Tim's "for rent" ad.

Mr Crabby has decided that living in the sump isn't that bad a place, especially since I caught another decorator crab that is his roomie now. He just didn't trust Tim's accidentical slipping of the "have you for dinner" line.

Maybe Tim should get a proof reader.

new renters

Bob (adult O. Scyllarus) currently has a couple damsels as his roommates. He had a 3 spot back in february, but it became lunch. Soon after, I bought the current residents, and they have lasted till now and have not been attacked. It has been a long while since I reviewed the thread....does Tim like FISH? Maybe some blue damsels would be good dinner companions?

what is Tim's eye replacement antenna? Is that his top 3 prong feelers, or is he regenerating something through molts??

okay, just spent the ENTIRE day reading this over the course of work and homework and free time........ Tim is amazing. Period. He does need to be challenged though, or else he might become out of practice i think.

Also, these villian crabs are sneaky, but they do sound interesting

Heh...the purple monster from the previous page is still available, and just as ornery as ever.

I have the battle scars on my fingers to prove it

If you haven't already gotten rid of the big purple beastie, I think Tim's ready to take a shot at it. After his most recent molt he has grown disinterested with standard snail meals and kills them all in one frenzied "battle." I think it's more because he's bored than hungry...

So I would very much like to introduce him to Tim.

Tim lost an eye to a meal long, long ago. Dr. Roy was consulted and while the eye won't regenerate, the remaining eye should still function as well as having both. Knowing that he lost something, Tim decided to regrow the lost eye anyway. He simply forgot what it looked like and instead grew an antenae in its place.

All's still well in Timville. I have a bunch of new pics that I haven't had time to upload. Had a hosting issue that prevented many pictures from being shown for a couple weeks (and some still seem to be missing so I have to check my other archive).

Tim sends regards and wishes all of you to know that he would love to eat everyo... er... thank everyone of you for hanging around and waiting patiently for new tales. It's been a while since he's done anything really wild, but I think that has to do with a significant slow-down in recent months of roommates. /shrug

I shall continue the search for new and interesting roomies... *grin*

Tim has professed his undying love for your idea. He has moved you to very near the top of his people he won't eat because he likes them list.
