the guy that sold me my xenias told me that they dont ship well at all they die after 8 h of shipping so you take it as is in my tank they are growing like a wild fire but I picked it up from him he is about 30m drive

actually if you put A small frag(unmounted) in A large body of water they do just fine.(DO NOT USE A PLASTIC BAG)
I have shipped it several times.
(1/2 inch frag + quart of water= success) try it, it works very well.

Dan, I have some that is a deep pink body and dar k purple fronds on the "pulsing polyps" I will try to get a pic but I'm not sure how well it will turn out. my camera is not very good. I'm in SW ohio if interested in pickup. Let me know...

hehe , I think because most commonly the blue morphs to A purple. the problem is finding the right morph.

but anyways I have found some but currently it is to cold to ship so we have agreed to wait till spring, but if anyone comes across some eye popping PURPLE please let me know.

look under my profile pics there is a sample of purple zenia it is very common a lot of people have it
it overgrowth
some people are known to flush it down the toilet

I have xenia like that in your pic and I wouldn't consider that purple, its brown(in the pic anyway). if anyone is unsure of the color ,place it beside A purple mushroom,if its the same post it here if not, don't. I simply get my hopes dashed to pieces once again. this purple has to be LOUD.
