Has anybody tried the Azoo cooling fans?

I'm thinking of getting some for my 90 reef instead of a chiller. The lighting is Outer Orbit 2-250 HQI with 4-54 T5.

I have the one with 4 fans in it. I don't know about 90 gallon, but works wonders on my 25 w/ 150w mh.

I had the 2 fan one and it didn't do anything in my 60 gallon.

I have a 4 fan set over my sump for my 90g and it comes on when the lights come on. Works great and keeps my tank temp down without a chiller, but then, I live in San Francisco where the temps don't get very high.

They work wonders, I have 2 of the 4 fan units on the back of my 65 gallon. My lighting is 2-250 watt halides and my temp stays around 78-79. $110 for what a $400 chiller would do is great in my opinion, I would put them on any tank I have in the future.

I run two of them in my 200 inside the canopy blowing across, and then suction up to my attic. Good fans.

I have the dual fans for my 150 system. I have them in my sump cooling my 30g refugium.

I just got 2 of the 2-fan units and really like them. Pretty quiet. The adjustable mount is a lot nicer looking than my old one I threw together.

I like the fact it's built out of black plastic as opposed to metal. It also looks like should one of the fans fail you can remove the endpieces to disassemble the unit and replace one of the fans with a standard sized computer fan.

Oh yeah, and they are on sale at Drs. Foster & Smith...

Thanks all. I think I'll go with 2 of the 4 fans on the back of the tank. If it's not enough, I'll get a 2 fan on the sump.

I have a 265g that is smoking hot (88 degrees) w/ all lights on. I am thinking of getting the two or three of the 4fan sets to run on the back of my canopy directed at the water. My tank is 7 feet long.

really?

Here it is hanging over my sump. I have a 60 gal. Dual 250W MH + 2x VHO and I know it pulls down at least 2 degrees when the MH are on. My chiller doesn't even come on.

Okay,

All is well. I purchased 2 Azoo (4 fan systems) from Drs. Foster & Smith this week. I got them and installed them over my tank. Belive it or not, I will not be needing a chiller. My 3x400watts XM 20K Metal Halides are no longer a problem, as the fans brought my tank's temperature down from a whopping 89 degrees to a reading s of this morning of 77 degrees! When the lights were on for the 12hour span, my temp only registered 78.9 degrees! Awesome! I only paid $29.99 a piece for each 4-fan set! That beats the price of a chiller any day!

I've been looking at these lately too... my tank has been running really hot and I can't really figure out why... but my large box fan sitting in front of the sump looks stupid... so these may be exactly what I need...

I have a 4 fan set blowing in the back of my canopy (open-top) and a 2 fan set blowing over the top of my sump; controlled by my reefkeeper 2 with this setup i was able to lower the tank temp. by about 4 deg. Sure beats having to run a chiller.

I afixed my two (4-fan) sets on the tank inside of my canopy. I am only running one now, as leaving both on has lowered my temp with two of the 3 metal halides on as low as 74.9 degrees. I plan on getting a controller next to automate my temperature and other equipment controls.
