Unhappy Looking for a good laptop repair tech

Having issues with the power supply connection on my laptop I've had both my wife and daughter using it a lot the last couple of weeks since the family PC fried the motherboard. With the excess use, it seems the power supply jack has gotten a loose connection causing it to erracticly lose power and fail to charge the battery. The plug (computer end) also gets very hot. I thought (I'm sure some of you smelled the smoke ) that I could open it up and fix the jack, but alas there a few screws located under the screen where you can't get to them So, anyone in the club know how to go about fixing such problems or know a reliable repair tech? I can pay in frags, cash or homebrew

Bill- the round barrell type plug that goes from the power supply to the laptop is getting hot? Yikes - If the socket for that was loose it shouldnt get hot, unless its shorting out occasionally or something ...

Bill,
I work for Flexible Business Systems in Hauppauge.
It's an IT service company. I'm not sure how much they will charge, but maybe I can bring it in, fix it and only charge you for parts. (ehhem and homebrew...)

Let me know.
Bill
