I hate to say it but you could throw poop in those frameless tanks and it would look sexy! Lol! Okay maybe not.

My jaw hit the floor when I saw this tank in person. His pics really don't do it any justice but here is a pic and the thread I got the pic from.

This tank was September 2004's TOTM. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/20...otm/index.php. I was online one day doing research on tanks and did a search for "images" and found this. I love how his tank is not some virtually impossible 1000 gallon tank. It seems more realistic and attainable. It was and is a great inspiration to me and is what originally led me to ReefCentral.
John Coppolino's (copps) 65 gallon reef: He actually just had a baby and moved and sold this tank and equipment as well as many frags... Wish I had gotten a hold on some of that stuff! |

Although this is a very old pic (1996?)....I've seen pics and heard Sanjay has some awesome tanks...and of course, the Penn State tank he oversees, is a definite Idol Tank. I will try to look up a picture of that tank. Here is that older pic of Sanjays tank from 96...

haha good observation, its actually half his body thats missing!. But, its just the fish turning around real quick and it looks like half its body is 'hidden' behind the front half.

This is a great thread. Some of those tanks are so nice.
The Penn State tank def. has some photoshop work done to it (Look at the the milky haze to the lower right where the prefilter is) Some of the area has doubled corals and some fish are not completely added in. But I think all of that work was done by combining a few pics to make everything appear clear. |
