McDonalds sending text message spam to cell phones

Yup, I just got a text message on my cell phone. Spam from McDonalds asking me to play silly online game

I got one that told me it was time for me to refill my Viagra. Funny thing is I don't take it. I've gotten 3 spam messages lately, now I have to pay to get my spam, this bites.

Yea, the only ones that I've gotten are from Viagra. Kind of annoying to get at 4 AM when you have your cell phone next to your bed.

Had that happen once so far...and since my cell phone is also my emergency contact number for the lab I don't get to turn it off for the night. Kind of thing that makes me think spamming should be a capitol offense

I concur, and my stupid phone will beep every 5 minutes if I don't read the text, so that gets real annoying.

I suppose there is a way to turn that feature off, but that would involve me reading the manual which isn't going to happen
