u can have them on a desk or in different places, they only cost an arm instead of an arm and a leg to fill with livestock and corals, and maintnance is easier on them. but if things go worng htey will go wrong fast, and you can only have a few small fish

What type of fish would I be able to have in a nano?-let's say the nano is 10 gals. Also what types of corals and inverts would I be able to keep?

Well, for something like a 10g + i dont see why you couldn't keep a small perc/ocellaris clown or like NanoReefWanabe said, small gobies, possibly a blenny of some sort etc (Not all of those together of course). Everyone summed up the advantages/disadvantages very well Good Luck!

For corals, it depends on your lighting. You could always start with the low light corals like mushrooms, zoos, polyps and other softies. Inverts you could get crabs, snails, feather dusters, a shrimp etc. Everyone summed up the advantages/disadvantages very well Good Luck!

in a 10 dont go over 2 small fish, you could keep a perc or pair of percs in there, ocellaris get to big usually, or a couple small gobies, corals all depends on the lighting
