HI Amphi, yes they are clones. The original one split a few months ago.
They eggs are in the tank and will keep watch and see if anything developes in there.
Thanks for that information. I was wondering if one could be female.
So are you saying there is no chance? And why not?
Where do the males come from if not from a split?

I'd say from a totally different Anemone? I don't know if you can demand a "clone" to be the opposite sex, wouldn't really be much of a clone if that happened...

Xenia, I demand that one be male. How dare they split and have two females in there, fighting over the bathroom and makeup. Geze

They're having egg wars and throwing eggs at each other instead of sperm and egg...

typical females, always gotta hog there space.
Some of the eggs have attached to the front glass of the tank. So can at least see if they grow fungi or not, if so, will vacuem out the eggs and dump them.
I think I need to advertise. Male wanted for there sperm only!

Wow, the search really does work. I had a similar episode 2 nights ago. I glanced over and saw that my tank was very cloudy... I immediately panicked and then checked all of the equipment. Everything was good and when I looked closer in the tank, I saw a ball of eggs that looked exactly like your pictures. I was thrown off because the only "pair" of anything I have are 2 chromis.

My immediate suspect was my LTA and that's what I assumed all along until I saw this thread. The common link between us is the brain. My brain has two mouths, so maybe one shot eggs and the other sperm.

I decided not to keep the eggs though and added some extra filters and some charcoal. The water has mostly cleared up, but a few small water changes wouldn't hurt.

I'm very curious to see if your eggs hatch... good luck.

Hi Jedi, I have a huge brain with around 8 mouths, I wonder if that is what it could be?
I put all of the eggs in another tank and pretty much forgot about them.
So far nothing unusual in there but will let you know if I see anything.
How large was your egg ball?
I have three yellow damsels in this tank but they are not near big enough to have that many eggs I don't think, and wouldnt they lay them on rock?
Just don't know.
Thanks for posting.
