thanks, i really wish i could get the sparkle, but to try to explain it, it looks like the paint job on a bass boat that really glittery sparkle, i have not tried it with water or my halide yet though. and i figured if i did not like it, it would not be so hard to scrape it off

well the glitter stuff is for crafts, like using on candle holders and stuff, so i hope it won't. only time will tell. i am going to try to hold my retrofit over my tank today and see what it looks like, need to get the canopy built soon i think the most important part was cleaning the glass very well so the paint would adhear to it. i also sprayed very thick coats of paint, and got no bubbles with the glitter paint. the only problem i can see is equipment scraping the paint off, so i have to be really careful about it

well, i got the t5s, but i ended up getting the sunlight supply 4x24 watt t5s which is planty bright enough. with water and the light on, you can barely see the glitter, but it is just enough that i am happy with it, very subtle. i think it had a lot to do with the halide making it sparkle, but it still looks good. i will post some pics tomorrow of it

some updates

a friend of mine bought 100 pounds of rock off a guy that would not split it up. so my friend sold it to me for what he got it for. $2 a pound, wow what a deal, but i noticed the downside after i brought it home, it is infested with pyramid snails but i ended up finding out after i brought it home so oh well, they will die. but it was fully cured and i transported it in water so all is well, and i added an anthias to my tank. seems pretty happy. here are some pics

yes, i have more rocks in my 36 gallon that will be going into here, and the 36 gallon will be an outcast tank for my husbands dwarf lion and a black trigger that i have not picked up yet. i added a few of my higher light demanding corals today, i had bought 2 monti caps from a local guy and decided that it was safe to add them since the rock had been in someone elses system for a while and 75% of the water came out of my 6 gallon all readings are great. i was worried about the pyramid snails but have since heard my corals should all be ok with them. i was hoping to add a clam, but since the snails are there, i have to wait a while. but i am also waiting for my starboard. my dad owns a boat building business and uses it a lot so he is going to send me a scrap piece
