WTB Hosting Clown pair and Anenome
I have to appease the wife, I told her the next thing I bought would be an anenome and clown fish, and now that I have the lighting I can do that, anyone have a pair of clowns hosting with an anenome they want to get rid of?
I would prefer a carpet anenome. thanks. |

I know you say you want a carpet anem, but I have heard many horror stories of them eating expensive fish. If you plan on having many fish I would get a BTA.

I have also heard stories of them attacking their owners
Someone I know had a blue carpet grab onto his arm and had to run it under hot water to get it off and it killed the anemone. They do look cool but I have changed my mind about having that blue carpet nem I always thought I wanted. Mark, I will come get that purple one out of your way anytime you are ready to move it and I will even take the clowns so you don't have to feed them anymore just because I am so nice The clam is doing great and the tang is liking his 6' home full of macro.

we have had two of them. my experience is you have to have agressive clowns in them to chase your fish away from it. it will eat large fish. We had one that ate a naso tang and a racoon butterfly. both within 3 days. it had its own separate tank from then on. i have been stung by them and it does feel like a bee sting. you just have to be careful with them.

perhaps I am not quite ready for a carpet from the horror stories, I think I'll stick to a BTA
thanks for all the advice. although I have a damsel that I wouldn't mind get eaten. |

Knowing the luck of the hobby sometimes, it would eat everything in your tank and leave the damsel
