I'm new to this forum and just noticed you are from Warren Ohio. I'm from just south of Warren in Ellsworth originally from Youngstown. I'm not really new to SW I was in the hobby for about 5 yrs and got out of it about 10 yrs ago. I'm cosidering getting back into it after discovering this websit. If you dont mind I have a question. Is there any place local for SW supplies and fish? I'm not really crazy about the big pet stores as in the past I feel they sold poision caught fish. I used to go to Ocean Blue in Boardman he was an exclusive Salt water store. I dont know if he was still there when you started but I'm kind of looking for something like that. Thanks John |

I'm not really sure that I am looking for corals right now.
That would be in long term plans for sure since I really like reef tanks, but dunno right now. I just kinda want to get my feet wet again probably start out with a FO or FOWLR and a couple lions. I dont think I have the lighting necessary for corals. Ive got 6 flourescents with ice cap ballasts. I posted in this section because I noticed you guys were from Ohio and was wondering if there are any SW specialists stores around my area anymore. I checked the phone book and there might be one up by Warren but not completely sure from the name in the phone book |

the stores in this area are slim pickins. The best one is Salty critter by far and they in vermillon. inbetween Cleveland and Sandusky. 1 1/2 hour drive but worth it

they really arent terribly expensive, mine is a dual colony, as you can see, and I paid $60 for it. they had 2 at macna, one was a single color but bigger, I bought the smaller one that was two different variety. It has grown since september, slowly, but I never directly feed it. It seems to like light and high flow. I cant wait till its the size of a dinner plate in 5 or 6 years. That will be very cool looking.
