DIY eheim replacement on Deltec Ca Rxt questions

What is the size of fitting for this plumbing? Its not the standard threads. Any suggestions on what to get and where to get them? I'm trying to diy a new eheim 1250 into my pf501 Ca Rxt. Does anyone have any designs on putting an eheim in that doesn;t involve cutting the ball valves off?

TIA

there metric. I retro one for a friend and just cut the unions off and made an adapter to switch to standard fittings. Worked really well with a mj1200 fwiw.

Thanks dandy. I didn't realize that there was metric pipe. Could you not find a place for metric pipe fittings? Do you have a pic of your diy and the maxi? I have an eheim 1250 ready to go.

I don't have pics, I do remember that cpvc pipe 3/4"? was the magic part of the puzzle though. Still took a bit of dremel work but it's not that hard.

What does the c in cpvc stand for? From what I've been seeing is that it just means its corrosion resistant?

c=Chlorinated

Really though it is more the specific size you are looking for, cpvc is copper pipe size while pvc is usually sch40, 20, 80, 120. HTH
