Sea in the City

Sea in the City is located at 439 Gaston Foster Rd, Orlando, Fl 32807

It is off of Lake Underhill right by the 408

I don't know where the other store is located.

Marcye at sea in the city gets my vote too- she is *extremely* knowledgable and her staff are very cool and nice

At first look you may wonder exactly how her store fits where it does but when you see the critters inside and how well kept they are you will be like

Ocean Blue has some really good stuff too. Their markup on prices is a little above the average though. He seems to do a lot more fish and hard corals, they are very knowledgable there too.

If Ocean Blue is the one I'm thinking of run by a couple of asian guys (opposed to one in the Altamonte area across the street from LBHS high school.. can't think of the name atm) ..

If its the asian guys .. When I last went in there I didn't particularly enjoy the health of some of the specimens in their tanks.

I know in a "chain" store you'd expect to see not 100% healthy looking critters but despite a huge store and tons of stock in marine and freshwater.. I just thought some of the stuff they have for sale in there looked icky and half dead..

They do have a huge selection of tanks and equipment which did seem cool. . but I didn't want to chance buying anything living there after spotting 1 or 2 dead \ half dead looking guys

Maybe im picky and judgemental but thats just me

Yep. That's the store that's run by the Asians. That's one of the few places I have been where I didn't see anything dead or dying. Hm... I guess it all boils down to the day that you go. What are the directions to the one in Altamonte springs? Are you talking about "Fishy Business"?

I've been to Ocean Blue a few times and I've never seen anything bad. The people there are really nice and very knowledgable... I haven't been to any of the other places though.

The other one is
Seven Seas Aquarium Inc

910 N State Road 434
Altamonte Springs, FL 32714

I actually consider us Orlando-ish area folk lucky- we have a wide variety of LFS to visit to hunt down exactly what we want for our tanks whereas I know many folk just don't happen to have that.

Ocean's blue wasn't that bad but.. i dont know.. just call it a bad feeling that day? maybe i just didn't see anything we wanted or it was an off day.

but yes lots of fun places to check out around the area
