Alk Trouble In 29 Bc
Need some help here i have a 29 bc w/ sps i use an auto top of with kalk and a 5 gal water change once a week for some reason my alk dropps like crazy every 2 days i have to keep adding the kalk part of a 2 part solution any one have any ideas why it drops so fast? HELP

What are your magnesium levels?

I don't know, but I know it can affect calcium so I figured I'd throw it out there. Maybe someone else can chime in?

What kind of corals do you keep and how heavily stocked is the tank? It sounds like you're alk/cal needs are greater than what you are supplying, got a lot of LPS or any SPS? Or like stated before you're magnisum levels could be out of wack. Or you could have a pH issue.

Post the levels you have now. Chances are something is either really low or super high
