Acros and milles are growin like crazy. I took some corals out to frag the other day and its amazing how big they look out side of the tank. To see all the growth is fascinating!

easy - No question, the tank looks awesome! I have a few questions though..

First, it appears that you have linear flow. It looks like the return line and the powerheads are all blowing from left to right:

It appears as though the corals have responded well to it. Have you noticed any issues with linear flow?

Second, are you running any kind of reactor? How often do you change your water and what do you supplement your tank with?

Great tank!

I have a seiom m1100 in the back left that as you can see is blowing diagonal..
a seio 620 going straight across.. The return pump doesnt do much but like 300 gph after head loss.
In the back right conern i have another seio m1100 the is blowing across the whole back and pointed up towards the water for surface agitation..

Everything seems to be fine soo i havent really thought about it much. I did swap out the position of the 1100 and the 620 a couple months ago.. i think the tank did better with the 1100 blowning directly across and the 620 blowing diagonal after i think about it.

I dont have a calcium reactor. just a phosphate reactor.
I do 15g water changes weekely and clean every spec of the algae that i can get to. and even clean the pumps. I dont dose 2 part or anything.. just some liquid calcium and kents superbuffer dkh. That and the water changes with the RSCP ssalt seems to have been doing the job. The ER is a beast too. I get a 3/4 of a cup every two or three days.(now that i have a lot of fish)

Im starting to get back into lps again soo.. i might be taking some sps out to make room. dunno though.. i have a lot of sand bed space.

Thanks for the comment!

Wow,
I had no idea that VHO actinics would make such a difference as compared to T-5's. I just converted my ice cap 660 to run T-5's for super actinic in a 29 gallon tank with a 250 watt metal halide, and I'm wishing I didn't now....Your corals look great under the VHO's.....way to go man....

Ya for the actinic look vhos r they best IMO. I had super actinic t5's but they were worthless. I think the actinic plus is the bulb for t5 that has the best actinic. super actinic is like a light purple..actinic plus is like a bright blue.

I still need to get a new full tank shot with the actinics on over the 15k iwasakis. the mix is amazing.
ill try and do that soon

Wow, thank you for the inspiration. Your tank is so beautiful!! I am starting up a 90 and I had a similar plan for my aquascaping. I am looking forward to more pics with the MH's and the actinics on at the same time. I have a 175 watt 15K Iwasaki over my 54 gallon tank, and I can't decide what type of actinic light to add to it.

I just love your tank!

VORTECH!!! that'd be a nice present.
Everything looking great though, keep it up. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...tt=revive&Np=1
thats the stuff you're talking about right??? Its works well?? I wonder how that'll work along with some lugols.
Also what kinda of phosphate media do you run in your reactor?? Do you run carbon as well elsewhere??

Hey yall,
Havent updated in a week or so.

My darn coral beauty decided to nip at my montiporas.

Ive had him for 2 maybe 3 months and over night he ddecided it likes that montis like the digis caps and danaes.

I am in the process of trying to remove him with the fish trap i made out of acrylic a while back

On another note, its Christmas time so that means Acjr!
I bought my GF a coach purse and some of those new fancy knee high boots everyone wheres these day. So after giving her the hint for many of weeks I hope my wish comes true.
I decided on a Acjr over a vortech just because my seios have dont me good, they just are pretty bulky. Ive lived with them for a year plus I can continue..lol

Ill update with pics soon even though not much changed...except for my Scolymia.. For some reason it is at its biggest size it has ever expanded to in the two years ive had it. at least 10 inches across..
the best 40 bucks ive ever spent lol

Also good news my ACjr is finally installed and workin good. Glad I can read my ph al the time. I will get aquanotes soon to put it on the computer.

Will take pics soon of the montis that are gettin better.
