Proud new owner of...

Hello,
I am the proud new owner of an octopus that i was almost sure it was Briarieus but im not totally positive.. here are some pics.. a positive ID would be great:


This made me a little nervous.. is this ok??

Nice looking octo, but the last picture doesn't look so good. How has he done after you released him in the tank? I can't help you with identification, but you might want to check out tonmo.com. They have a section where people will help you with identification.

yes.. i have been on tonmo.com
so far its been normal octo behaviour... he's new so he is hiding alot.....but he seemed fine when he was out
