Talking calling all Echinophyllia owners, I need pics!!

Time of the month again to do my "Animal of the Month" and guess what I chose for this month's article ? Any owners of Echinophyllia aspera, echinata, costata, echinoporoides or orpheensis please by all means submit your critter for me!

For this, youll perpetually preserve your animal in colored print in our next months article as well as save me from any copyright infringements

You may have noticed my post for pocillopora last month and had a great participation level(even long after the need was there ) thanx again to all that joined the thread. The chose pictures owner will receive a complimentary newsletter with proper credits to account ownership of picture and animal, as well as be able to look it up and share with friends from our websight.

All I ask is that the animal and picture be yours, ideally with a watermark signature and a high resolution copy to prove. So, with that said, SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!!

Thats what I thought too. But where I saw it was listed as SPS in frags.org and no other article I could find referred to it as an LPS or SPS. Do you know of a resource where I could find it classified as LPS?Thank you for your attention.

Make sure you give these guys plenty of room, they extend some nasty sweepers at night. Here is the aftermath of a Ricordia that got a little too close.

Frags.org is what you are citing as a reference?

Okay, that sounds a lil punkish But, to answer your question no I didnt cite them as a reference because theres nothing to refer to them for.Of course I did the google search after the reefcentral search(once it was back up), along with wetwebmedia, and whelks/aim to name a few. With proper credits of course, but none of these reputable resource has turned up a difinitive answer.

Now, how bout a sincere answer instead of snappy questions?

Gottcha, those are some killer colors dude. Nice pic too. I think you've got what they're looking for. If not, it's what I'm looking for!!! Will you ship?

It's an LPS. Strip away the flesh, and the skeleton will resemble a fungia.

Got it in trade several months ago from another board member here. Unfortunately, I've been sworn to not give up the person's name under penalty of constant yelling, collect

I can prove it is in the Family of Pectiniidae and not Acroporidae.

Are we posting echinophyllias or echinoporas, cause I see both?

Anyhooo, picked this up a month ago. Waiting for it to grow up into a big sweeper tentacle stinging adult:

No need SeanT, I already knew that as well. But thats not what you nor I were talking about. If it bugs you as much as your starting to bug me, just walk away SeanT. I appreciate new ideas and my ego is not on the line here and welcomely am open for facts, as I am here to learn just as much as the next reefer. Im not here to debate,or argue with some one who doesnt have a credible leg to stand on other than there own antagonistical outbursts.

If you want to help, then help!Otherwise, youve said your peice(s).If this is an issue we have great mods here at RC and I dont question there judgment and intervention/placement of threads therein.

Sorry to everyone else, And DO GREATLY appreciate those that have contributed minus one cynic.
