How deep sandbed for Sepia Officinalis?

I am going to catch some cuttlefish tomorrow, while fishing on a dock(in a place where I know there are many of them)!I will keep one or two cuttlefish in a 30gallon aquarium I have.My sandbed there is one inch thick. Is it less than what is required for the cuttlefish to feel comfortable or it is just fine?
