Just Got My Pods

My pods just came in Should I just dump them in my Ref? Water and all?

Do you have a sump or fuge ?? I put mine in the fuge so they could multiply easier without being lunch the first day. I'd float them for 15 min.

Maybe strain them out and discard the water. Do you have a media bag ? ie for carbon ? I'd probably try and acclimate them like you would a fish, either by dripping your tank water in or by adding a shot every 10-15 min. Then try and strain them out.

Acclimating now, i will strian the water. Do you strain your water, or do you just dump it in?

I would never ever dump any other water in my tank or sump if I was running one beside the RO/DI water I make with my system. Too many variables to consider.

I heard you never need to acclimate copeods just dump them in.

the water the pods come in if they are from one of the main companies i.e tiggerpods is guaranteed free from all pest and parasites. I would just dump it in. the pods are generally to small to strain, but i guess you can try
