What will algae magnets do to pods on tankwall?
My glass tankwalls are filled with pods and "jellyfish-majigs" as well as algae. I have an algae magnet but I'd hate to bulldoze the pods if that will kill them. Will they survive or should I use a razor blade/credit card instead?
TIA! T3 |

A magnet will work just fine. It will/should push them out of the way.

I gotta ton of pods living IN my magnet scraper. Anytime I bulldoze them, they swim away, usually to be eaten by the fish though....

Don't worry about them, if you have that many they will make more

Thanks for the reassurance!
I'll see if I can bring myself to using the magnet. The pods do try to move out of the way but they sure don't move fast enough for the magnet! And it's not like you can rush them either. It's like trying to rush a mother duck and her ducklings across the street while you're in your car. Tom |
