What is conductivity?
And how is it measured?

tests as of 1/04/08 Ca>480ppm, I'm bringing it down dKH=9, ok PO4=0ppm, ideal 1/06/08 after a water change Ca= 480ppm, still a little high pH= 8.2, I'd like it at 8.3 NO3= 10ppm, acceptable |

What else can conductivity meters measure other than salinity and concentration of limewater?

I used to work in a print shop with nice 6 color Heidelberg presses. We used conductivity meters to ensure the proper amount of etch was added to the water. Too much could removed the image from the plates; too little prevented the water from doing it's job of keeping ink off the parts of the plates you don't want ink to adhere.

The other thing that reefers use it for is to determine various things relating to RO/DI systems, like if the RO membrane is working or if the DI is spent.
I'm not aware of many other uses for reefers. There are many industrial and scientific uses.
