New Light Nova Pro

Just picked up my new light for the 65 from Zooquatic. It is a Current Nova Pro 36" 6x 39w T5HO. Figured I'd share some pictures as its new and all.

the box

full view, turned off

2 bulbs on, only 1 fan on

4 bulbs on, only 1 fan on

6 bulbs on, both fans on

end with fans and switches

end with vents

The tank isn't ready for a light yet, but I'll get that posted when I get the stand finished.

Good looking light. How wide is it and what size tank is it going on? I wonder why they didn't do the lights and switches 3&3 instead of 2&4?

Its the 3 foot fixture (36") for a 65gallon all glass reef ready. Need to finish up the stand and get a sump setup for it. Hopefully soon, I'm ancious to get it running.

Opps, I should have said deep. Is it to big for 12" deep tanks, front to back?

can ZQ beat the prices from premium aquatics? i always thought ZQ's prices on hardware were rather on the high side.

36" for $300

48" for $350

ZQ seems plenty fair for local store prices, they beat petsmart on most of our dog food and supplies.
Price on the fixture was the same as premium $300+$20 shipping ~$320. I asked about the 48" it was $380.

wow, ZQ must have dropped their prices considerably once PetSmart got ready to open in C-burg. couple years ago i would get all my pet food/supplies at PetSmart in Roanoke just to save about 15-20%.

yeah, i was surprised too. really not impressed with petsmart's prices. dunno if it's just this store since they don't feel they have any real competition in the area or if all petsmarts have raised their prices.

and when i tried to pricematch a bag of salt that i didn't have the time to drive far to get with their own webpage prices (which i've done before at the roanoke store years ago) they said they don't pricematch their own web page since "you can just go ahead any buy it online at that price".
