dKH and Alk too high

I have done my usual tests this morning and my dKH and Alkalinity have gone up. Usually they are 10.2 and 3.66 respectively but this morning they were 11.8 and 4.23. I can find advice on how to make them higher, but how do I lower them? Or are these perameters ok?

My other test results were:

salinity 1.026
Ph 7.9 (buffer used this morning to raise)
nitrites < 0.3

Everything is feeding ok, nothing's died lately and my corals are 'blooming' so to speak.

All advice welcome.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you want to bring it down, do a water change. Freshly mixed up salt water will not have an alkalinity that high.

Agreed....btw, dKH and meq/l are both measures of alkalinity, not different things. Two different scales (dKH being the German one, meq/l the more scientific one) to measure the same thing.
