Clam angle lighting

does the clam need to have the opening straight up towards the light?
I bought a derasa a couple weeks back and I have a place for it but I noticed that it's kinda scared or stress after a few days of having it.
I moved it to another place but the rocks are V shape and it seemed happy there. I noticed now that it uis 45 degree angle because of the rocks.
The mantle is exposed and seems nice and pretty but I'm just wondering if having an angle is bad in a long run.

-TIA!
