need info about vho
I have an old fluorescent fixture that I think is 36 inches.. Can I use a vho bulb or do you have to have a certain fixture for that?

You would need a VHO ballast. Without a VHO ballast, it will still probably fire the bulb, but at a normal output bulb wattage, rather than the 75watts a VHO ballast would drive it

Yes
You could run the bulb on a fluorescent fixture. It would only run at the wattage that the balast is rated. Most fluorescent fixtures are only rated for 40w. So that would be what the bulb burns at. |

and if its only 36" it would probably only run at 30 watts.
