its very hard to find a nikon macro lens used. if you do they are either not functioning correctly or they go for almost retail cost.

I'd buy new... probably some sort of rebate too which will make it only a little more than used. Then you make full use of the warranty as well.

Otherwise, you can check adorama...

Thanks alot for reminding me that I still have to send in my rebate for the 105mm macro!! I totally forgot about it.

Yeah, I'd buy new as well. I spent about 5 weeks constantly checking ebay for a used 105mm macro but I ended up ordering it new at bhphoto.com and with the rebate, it's about 600bucks.
The 60mm macro is also a great macro lens.

Good luck trying to find a Nikon macro lense - they produce such outstanding results only a fool would be parted with one.

I just got a Nikkor 105mm Macro for my D70 a couple months ago. I was looking for used ones for a while and finally bought new. I got mine from bhphoto and I got the $70 rebate. I also picked up a SB600 flash while I was spending money. So far, I have found the lens to be super sharp. IMO, sometimes it is too sharp.
