My tank is 75% LPS and no other issues with color on them. This piece may still be adapting to my system. I will give it time before I get too mad

Currently 175 20k's, they are extremely dim though so an upgrade to 250HQI's is coming soon. Micros are kept anywhere from the sandbed (20" down) all the way up to our prop baskets about 3-4" directly under the light. I recommend 20k's to all micro enthusiasts because they get radioactive and electric under 20k's. They show some of the electricity under 14k's but not anywhere as nice as 20k's. Pure 10k seems to wash out the true colors.

Hey Bugsy, what you think they would show under just radiums, well actually probably just have to wait, for each power lvl gives radiums different look.

My 150W DE radiums look lot different than 250W SE Radium or the 400W radiums.

Oh man, I've never seen them under radiums. When I get the new lights I'll get both bulbs and see.

You will have to check, I don't think Radiums come in 250 DE yet, but I sure they will correct that soon enough. The reason I went radiums in the 150s was cause I was going to go 150, and the radiums actually have better par than 20k or 14k bulbs in the 150Ws, so they were my choice. Expensive little buggers though, yet I was told since the 150W dE bulb is made for the 150W ballast that they will last 12 to 14 months.

Ah yes, *Joker* is one of my favs!

Brahm- are you coming to the next swap?

Will your mystery Red piece be ready to frag by then?

I might be able to dig up something that would inspire you to frag it...

Nice!

You should have a nice patch going on in a few months.

Have you been feeding those little buggers?

What do you feed your Micro's??? Mine don't seem to respond well to feedings. At least they don't grab the brine and mysis like Lords

it's kinda funny you ask....nothing. When I first got mine, I tried feeding them like lords. I don't think they need a heavy feeding like lords do. I know brahm said he doesn't feed his and they are growing like crazy. I have been doing the same and mine are growing very fast. Everyday I notice new growth. I feed cyclo maybe once a week and that's it.

They are just getting accustomed to your tank. Trust me, once they're settled in, they feed! Try feeding them when lights are out. They take everything lords take but just 1/4 of the portion. After all, they are petite and need to watch their waistlines!
