Sorry no pics of blastos. I'm just wondering where I might be able to buy these corals? My LFS gets some every once in a while but nothing too spectacular and they are REALLY outrageous in their pricing. I see that ultimatefrags.com has some nice pieces but just curious where else I can look. Where do you sell yours at Doc? Thanks for any suggestions and hopefully I can get some and post them on here then

Its against RC rules to advertise or sell anything through these forums... I do not do that... "I fully respect the RC rules and the moderators that protect us from unsolicited sales" Actually, I have very few Blastos I fancy myself more of a Micro conossouir Sharkys reef looked like they had some nice Blastos last time I was there...

Here are my first blastos that I got for $15. The photo was taken with flash after lights went out so I apologize for the lighting. This photo was taken on the 5th of Oct. It's bigger now.

Here is an old merletti pic of mine. This was one of my first corals in 1998. Yes before they were cool to have. Still alive and have given many away. Very cool coral.

What's a good price for a red blasto with about 4 or 5 heads??? My LFS got some in, but asking about $110, is that high or reasonable?

thanks for the nice words

110 sounds to high for 5 heads of regular reds.

the blasto in my post above cost me $15 - so 110 does sound high to me. I think 50-70 range maybe more reasonable.

Some info please for those of you that keep a lot of blasto's. Were do you keep your in you tanks? high flow? high light? on rock or sand? the reason why I ask is that I have both merleti and wellsi, both are in the same location in my tank on the sand bed with low flow. Merleti is doing great plump polyps and the wellsi is all drawn inn and will not open, even during feeding. Help please.

I noticed that I get more growth in low light but I get great color from high light (increasing the light gradually).
Flow should be adjusted so that the polyps expand as much as possible.
