Replaced the factory deck with a Kenwood eXcelon made a big difference in sound quality. The built in electronic crossovers are an impressive feature. Anyhow, I wanted to see how the box and Cadence subs stacked up against the Audiobahn ABP12T Bandpass box. I expected the bandpass to be much louder (though not that great sound quality) and was surprised the Cadence subs were much louder and sounded much better.

Now that I'm getting it tuned in, the Cadence subs are broke in (and I'm turning it up much louder) I've noticed something peculiar. With the car at a stop light or just stopped and in drive and the system cranked up the car acts like it want to die on me and I can watch the tach dive below 500 rpm. I already have a 4 farad cap and the car came with a 150 amp alternator. Advise on the best (most economical route) to fix this?

Sherm, do the big three. That will greatly reduce the stress of your electrical and will prevent MOST dimming. Switching to a yellow top optima battery wouldn't be a bad idea either.

And oh, you don't want to blare your system at redlights...you are only sucking the juice out of your battery bc your alternator is not recharging it when your idle.

Will do. Looks like Sunday will be nice weather wise so I'll try to get it done then and give everything a check over.
