Elegance plate coral
not sure if this is the right forum..........
I have a very large Elegance plate coral, every couple of days it seem to swell up appx. 3 times its normal size, it seems to be moving. is this normal? also does it sting? Here is a picture.

It is Heliofungia sp. Another name is long-tentacle plate coral. You should feed it every couple weeks to keep it healthy. Fungias will move around the sand, and yes they do sting.
They are LPS, BTW. |

I will try and keep it away from his buddies! It is so funny to watch him get so big! I feed him a silver side 2-3 times a week.
