mushrooms

have several mushroms in tank. bought one at lfs that was all fanned out & pretty. in my tank looks like a shriveled up prune. have rics that are doing well & some red i just purchased. can never seem to get regualr shrooms to fan out. could this be too much water flow or something else?please help

Mushrooms dont like alot of flow. at least mine.

Ya they dont really like flow too much. Also, what type of lights do you have? I cant get them to grow under my t5's unless i shade them with other large corals or rock ledges...

One of my most difficult corals are the plain bright red mushrooms. They like light a lot, higher alkalinity (above 9) and had the biggest extension at pH 8.6...

Tell me about them being the easiest corals for beginner
