Seahorse Compatible with...

i have a Seahorse and i want to switch him into a different tank. i was wondering if brittle and serpent stars with be a problem? i can remove them, but if they wont be a problem i would rather not. thanks in advance.

I would definately be careful with the brittle star (I am not familiar with serpent star behavior) because I have them take out slow moving fish before and it could be very likely they would go for the horses.

No, not on the list. I don't remember, but they may have been left off because there is not consensus. Some seahorse keepers avoid any but the tiny micro-brittle stars.

In my experience, small, cryptic brittle and serpent stars are okay. What is definitely NOT okay is a species of green brittle star that is a very aggressive feeder and gets quite large - these can eat sleeping fish. I had one (not with seahorses) for over seven years. It's span was as big as a dinner plate, but it was aggressive even when smaller.
