that's a great tank!

I'm shocked you run such a powerful skimmer on that tank.

Steve Weast runs that skimmer on a 1000 gallon system doesn't he? Your system is only 150 gallons or so? That must be some seriously clean water!

but I later changed to a Deltec AP902. Currently I am experimenting with a Deltec AP1004 in the setup. The tank has gotten better and better, with less algae and detritus.
so you're saying you actually notice a difference from upgrading from the 902 to a 1004? i would have thought the 902 would have gotten everything that's gettable on that size tank. or at least that's what i want to think because i'm picking up my 902 tomorrow

do you think the increase is from the bigger skimmer being able to dig deeper and get certain compounds out that the 902 couldn't physically get, or because of the higher turnover through it?

Incredible tank/set-up! That first pic is such an optical issusion for the tank to only be 90 gallons, it looks like its 4 feet tall!

For the record, I went from a 2x1260 skimmer to a 3x1260 skimmer on the same tank and did not notice a difference in skimming. The volume and consistancy of the skimmate never changed. I figured a 3x1260 was probably still better, as it might pull out organics "faster" if something died, but it didn't pull out "more". Possibly just quicker.

I have to read more on your system and more posts because you do an incredible job!

I did just think of something though - the 1260's on Deltec & H&S skimmers here in the US pull ~900LPH whereas I've read they are only about 600-650 in Europe. So maybe a third 1260 might make a difference? A 3x1260 setup there would be the same as a 2x1260 here. Probably a good question for Doug, I could be totally wrong.

Awesome tank! Truely beautiful. How do the jawfish and leopard wrasse fair with a bare bottom?

How long have you had the Labroides dimidiatus (Striped cleaner wrasse)? I thought it was a death sentence to put one in an aquarium but yours looks nice and fat. Does he eat something aside from what he gets from the other fish? Im curious, never heard of these being successfully kept

Amazing tank, one of the best imo.

What do you do for an overflow, I couldn't see one unless there is one on the far corner. I am doing a 30" cube and you are my idol.

Grattis med TOTM MortenN, det er vel egentlig ikke noen høyere utmerkelse for en hobby akvarist enn TOTM, dette er deg vel fortjent på alle måter, har sagt det før i annet forum "Du bare får det til du"
NIce and well deserved, superb TOTM.

Cool

let me first say that your tank is AWSOME.BUT,,, I'm a little suprised that no one has come out and mentioned that IMO you have WAY to many large tangs in that 90g. do you have upgrade plans? I'm not trying to start anything at all but I think it should be mentioned. I have the same amount of tangs in my 500g.

I really like the coloration, what are you running for actinics or did I miss that?
