Yes they do great. Both at the base of the pillars and at the top back of the tank (a few that were on old rock from my 225g tank made it back there).

Ricordia though....not a chance. I just dont get it.

Beautiful...amazing t-5 tank.... a question about your fish room... you have a diagram of a frag and sump room and a pic of another room.. do you have both areas dedicated to this tank??

The diagram was for me to figure the layout. Its a schematic of how I would do it in an ideal world.....with time that changed and i used larger barrels instead of tanks....but the flow through the systems is still the same.

I will be adding a frag tank and a water make up barrel to the "fish room' soon.

I see run a reactor and dont run a phos remover. do you attribute the lack of po4 to the chaeto/ refugia ?? and how deep is the sand bed... Im setting up a 240 and im interrogating everyone

Very nice setup you have. I have a few questions if I may:

1. What kind of sand bed do you run in the display tank? What is the depth?

2. What are you practices with new fish additions as far as introduction and quarantine procedures?

Awesome tank, Paul. Congratulations on being named TOTM. The award is well deserved.

I see you have two anemones in your reef. What are your experiences with them?
Do you have a strategy to keep them from "wandering" or splitting or even growing out of control?
Do you have them isolated from the rest of your reef?
And, do you find that any of your SPS or other corals can compete with the anemones?

yes, more sandbed info please. did you let it mature before livestock went into the tank? sand sizes? how did you seed it? do/did you feed it?

I saw you reference your old 225g tank, but never saw how many gallons this display tank is.

It's a 600 gallon tank with a total of approximately 800 gallons including sump/refugium.

May the doubter’s be enlightened… Great example of what T5’s can do!

I agree that glitter lines are spectacular, but I think you have just reconfirmed that a beautiful SPS dominated tank can look awesome without the use of halides.

Now if I can just get my trigger to keep from flipping sand, and my clowns as well....I may have a tank as crystal clear as yours.

I really loved the pictures you had in your article. I was very jealous.
