I agree, rather be here than out in the big bad world. Hubby is sleeping and son is at a friends house. I'm struggling to stay awake for yet another New Year ringing in.

Happy New year!

Chilling on RC.......much better than spending all that $$$$ at the bar tonight. Think of all of the cash spent in our younger years doing that, what great systems we'd have today had we spent that money and time here on RC>

happy new year all, I'm home too. Like you guys, it's by choice - DH and I don't drink and new year's has never been a big thing for us. Why pay $25.00 or more just to get into a bar crowded with drunk strangers when we could be home watching a movie together? Heard on the news earlier that the expected wait for cabs tonight is over two hours, and it could take up to 20 minutes just to get through to dispatch - how fun to be plastered and all dressed up, waiting outside a bar at 3am on a snowy, freezing street for hours so you can catch a cab. I'm such a scrooge! :P

Happy New Year everybody!!! Hubby and I split a bottle of champagne, and he read sports on the Net while I watched the entertainment on TV. Lot's of fireworks going off outside at different parties! Who knew they would light in the snow!

That does not sound fun at all when you put it into perspective.

Didn't you hear-- they redesigned the ball and went energy-efficient this year. Not that a one minute burn per year needs to be energy-efficient!

+1

Just chilling at a friend's home during new years is fun yet I still managed to pay tribute to the porcelain gods...
