Anemones and clams (San Francisco Bay ARea only)
$70 for this rare purple anemone. I am breaking down my tank, and this is anemone is for sale. I have not gotten a positive species identification, but it looks to be either Macrodactyla doreensis or Heteractis crispa. In any case, anemones like this are not for amateurs. They do great only with a sandy bottom of at least 3 inches in depth and medium to strong lighting, preferably metal halide. I don't know if this species adapts to other current levels, but in my tank this one is in a low flow area of the tank. $80 for this 8" in diameter rose. It is very beautiful. This crocea for $50 with a unique pattern. This stuff is for sale for local pickup. It's just not worth my time to ship out. If you are interested in stopping by, call me 408-621-0800 |

3" Rose for sale
Someone bought the anemones. I have the following smaller 3" rose for $50 for sale. This one has bubbled tips, and is a different species than the above one was:
I want locals only. Shipping this stuff this time of year is a hassle, and plus, most of the country is too cold. |

Here is another picture of that anemone. It looks to be closer to 4" today in it's fully-expanded state. I also did a photo without the flash here which gives the color a more realistic look.
