29g Bio Cube skimmer

Hi folks,

I'm new to this my tanl is just up for five months. I would like to add a skimmer but I've had trouble finding one. I'd prefer a skimmer that I can rn in the bioball compartment and get rid of the bioballs. Any suggestions?

my $30 biocube skimmer produced the same color skimmate in less than four hours from opening, save your money and get this one or just go without

I don't think I want to deal with changing any air stones on a regular basis.

That's the question. Do I go skimmer or just do without.

Mine can produce that in thirty minutes, but do you really want your skimmer pulling all the essential nutrients at once.Or you can go skimmerless and keep up on water changes more frequently. Its whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Im just saying for a new skimmer, fresh out of the box, its not doing too bad. I enjoyed skimmerless though.

I put the Oceanic BC skimmer in my 29. It's Ok, but doesn't seem to do a whole lot. I would probably suggest the CRP SR3. I'm sure there's a reason for the big price difference....and you can continue to use your filter pad with the CRP. It's tough using it with the $30 oceanic.

Silly questions from a Newbie. Which way is the skimmer suppose to be installed? With the cup on the left or the right? Or does it even matter?
