How to join the SEAS

SEAS membership dues are $20.00 a year. You can join the Seas a couple of different ways. The first option is to show up to the next SEAS event, or monthly meeting, and give any club officer your membership fee, along with some simple information such as your Name, mailing Address, and usernames you use on the SEAS releated sites. Fish, at Midwest Exotic Imports, can also take your dues and membership information.

The second method of becoming a member, is to visit http://www.theseas.org , and click on the "Join the SEAS" tab on the top navigation bar. At the bottom of the screen there will be a paypal button you can use to join.

Where do your membership dues go?

Your membership dues, go into the SEAS treasury bank account. These membership dues are used to pay for web hosting for the SEAS website, Door prizes at events, Help out with the associated costs of events (Food, drinks, etc). The Dues are also used to buy materials for workshops, such as the Make your own live rock demonstration, held in the past, and future events, such as buying corals for fragging demonstrations, and any other associated expenses the club requires.

What are the benefits of becoming a member?

There are many benefits of becoming a SEAS member. Some of these include:

being eligible to win door prizes at events.
Member discounts at many LFS'es.
Taking items home from demonstrations, such as live rock making demonstrations and fragging demonstrations.
Sharing knowledge about the saltwater hobby with other members.
Learning more about the saltwater hobby, through meetings, and events, and much much more!
