2 part storage containers

Is it ok to store the 2 part solution in Poland Spring 1 gallon water bottles? The ones with the convienent handle.

Does it say on the bottom what they are made of? Or a recycling code?

That is OK for the calcium part, but perhaps not optimal for the alkalinity part. I'd look for polyethylene or polypropylene for that (HDPE, etc).

Randy, what's the pH of the alk part? Is it high enough to saponify a polyester?

That was my concern, yes. If baked, the alk part will have a pH on the order of 11.6.
