Watanabe Angels are pretty sweet. I have a female one. I'm thinking about adding a male.

watanabes are very nice fish. Sherman (sherm71tank) has one and it is a good reef dweller so far.

Here you go.. took one yesterday.

The Live rocks have lightened up now after my green algae phase. Its looking a lot cleaner.

Honestly, this tank is so much easier than my 100g which was Acrylic and an In Wall. I am so glad I made the switch to glass. For maintenance, all I do is use the magnet every 2-3 days on the glass and scrub the algae off the back every week. Oh, the days of cleaning the back wall with a plastic acrylic scraper and from the back running back to the front to see if its cleaned off well. Not fun! Other than that, less light equals less algae. MH's are only on for 4 hrs a day while actinics for 10.

I didn’t realize that you are only running your halides for 4 hours a day. I must have missed that post while I was admiring all your photos. How are your corals adjusting to such a short photoperiod?

The main source in feeding these corals are from the spotlights. They come on at the same time as my actinics for now. In other words, 150w for 10 hrs and then the full penetration of 250w SE's (2 only) comes on for 4 hrs. The corals love it and are growing better than my previous tank. Im feeling it out and adjusting as time passes on how the corals react. Coloring is also better as I felt I was going to need somekind of lightening method like ZEOvit, but with the results I am getting now, it shows that less light equals less PO4 and I can richen the color at an angle of the coral by the spotlights.

Looks great Edward, I got all my rock in the tank now . How did you stack yours? Did you stack it back towards the back wall or towards the middle more? I put it maybe about 2/3rds of the way back but am wondering if I should move it towards the back wall.

That full room photo is exquisite! The tank looks absolutely huge. I really like the simple millwork on the cabinet, as it doesn't detract from the tank inhabitants. I'm still considering millwork options for my rimless' stand, and was thinking about a 3 or 4" shelf around the top perimeter for placing small items during maintenance. Do you think this would be useful?

Some people think it looks fake, but I really love it.
Gday mate,
I also really appreciate the use of supplemental spotlighting, including the red spectra. I think the red and blue supplementation is beautiful. I'm looking forward to some extra information regarding the spotlight pendants youre using, as I'm currently upgrading my DIY suspension pendant. I want to supplement my 9x54w T5 (mix of KZ, D&D and UV blubs) with spotlighting (CREE HO-LED and/or Iwaski MH 150w) with red, white and blue.

I recall you saying that you were aiming for the stag's growth now, and colour tweaking later, how are you planning this? Bulb colour alteration? 65k-20k? ZEOvit methodolgy??

I also recall we received our Majesticangel's at a similar time, mines now taking everything (frozen feeds, nori, pellets and flake), how is yours going?

Congratulations on the system again, certainly a stunner!! Any sump photos yet??

Cheers, Josh

I agree. The room looks simple and fantastic. I truly can't pull that off as I have way too much stuff that I refuse to part with.

That's an AGE tank, right? Could you PM me what it cost? I really like their work. I think I need a backup tank.
