Hey Greg, back on the first few pages of your post you mention making a model (maybe) out of PVC to decide where to fit the tank? I'm was thinking of building a model out of PVC or light wood to figure out how to move, place, and even aquascape my tank.

Anyway, you posed pics but the dont show up. Do you still have any?

ah, got it! thx.

i'm thinking of making a 3d frame, exact replica, to make sure i can move and place the tank. also, it will help me come up with aquascaping ideas b/c its hard to picture a 72 x 30 x 24 space.

3d will work too. NOt sure how that will help with aquascaping, but to each his own.

I'm trying to get an idea of my aquascaping plans beforehand, so i can figure out how much extra rock to get and where to put it.

Its hard to envision how big my 220 will be, and how much space I'll have to work with. Each time I visit the place I'm getting it from I'm taken back by the size. Drawing on a 2d space doesnt do it justice. Nor does the 30" height it will have.

So I'm hoping by having a 3D model of the tank, I can get a better idea on how to aquascape, locate equipment, etc.

Dont forget to hold your breath while sticking your feet out of the top of that 30" deep tank.

Hey Bheron,

I just had a custom stand built by a guy who also now makes custom tanks just outside of philly. Ocean Image Aquairiums. He provided 3-D schematics. I can show you what he gave me. I heard he is doing a custom tank for a guy in San Diego.

If you are interested, I think he lurks on this Board under OceanImage or I can email you his number. May be worth a call if you want a better plan.

Good luck
Joe
