Pumps sizes

I am designing my sump area for my new in wall tank. The tank will be 72X30X30, and I am leaning towards the Ampmaster 3000 as my main pump, or one of my main pumps. I think it will be my closed loop pump at this point.

The question I have is how big of a foot print does this pump need. With the equipment that I need to fit into the bottom of the stand I an trying to determine the size of the sump I can get in there without too much over crowding. Just a rough over all size is what I need. Length and width will do.

Thanks

Cheers!!

They are 12" Long X 7 1/2" wide. I was running 2 Amp Masters on my tank. They started to leak @ the seals 2-3 months after getting them. I have replaced them with other pumps. I would suggest the Sequence pumps to be a better pump.

Just a heads up

I heard the same thing that the sequence is a better grade of pump.

I am thinking about the Sequence 5800SQ23 for my closed loops and main pump.

What are the dimensions of this pump?

My system is similar to yours but 7.5ft X 4ft X 30in high.

Anyone care to give basic advice on how far away the pump needs to be from the sump to allow for enough space for a ball valve and fittings? I am planning on using 2 inch bulk heads and ball valves with a reducing coupling at the outlet of the Sequence (it has a 1.5in threaded outlet).

Someone told me that this would allow the pump to produce max flow due to reduced resistance.
