Where and when? Someone may be able to bring you a generator to borrow. I can let you borrow battery-operated air pumps.

Certain home depots have heavy duty tools that you can rent per day. You should call in and see if the home depot near you is one of them.

Considering what you'll pay to rent a gen from HD, you can go to most Kragens, Pepboys, and Harbor freight locations and pick up a noisy 850watt RMS 1000watt peak 2 stroke generator when they're on sale for $99.

We're not talking a nice little Honda deal here, but a cheap direct from China 2 stroke deal that will be noisy, need frequent fill ups, etc. But in a disaster situation, or to power a good portion of your tank, they're cheap insurance.

Well i still have time, the repairs are scheduled for the 17. Im thinking of getting the battery powered air pumps. I think it would get too cold, so i am thinking of floating some 2 litter soda bottles filled with hot water. Luckily i will be home on that day so i can monitor my tank through out the day.

When I had a scheduled power outage for 24 hours I ran a generator on my tank and bought a $150 UPS for my frag system. I put the koralia 4 powerhead on the ups by itself and it ran the whole power outage + had 4 hours left on the power supply (frag tank is 110 gallons).

SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AN UPS AND A KORALIA 4 OR TUNZE NANO 6045 FOR POWEROUTAGES

That's just me though. Good flow and great price.

Note though that the wattage usage on the Koralia 4 dropped to about 2-4 watts and the flow decreased, but still more than enough to circulate the wattage and create little ripples at the water surface.

Uninterrupted power supply. ( another word for a battery that plugs into the wall, and when the power goes out it kicks to battery power to power whatever devices are hooked up to it )
