A year later.
Hi.
Some of you may remember my tank from last years TOTM. Now 12 months later some small changes have been made, I've almost reached my goal of shell like corals dominating the over all look. The large sarcopyton is now at a childrens hospital since it got a bit too big and needy for space. The hydnopora is temporarily in the sump because of it's huge size and destructive tenticles. The enormous anemone in the left upper corner is refusing to split and has reached a rediculous size for the tank it is in. It's a home to a maroon pair so removing it is not going to happen. Coral growth has been good and the fish are happy and so am I. For 2006 growing finger like corals will be my goal. More pics here Please share your thoughts.

Beautiful tank!!
Don't those carpet anemones eat your fish? I had one for a while and it was like a black hole with everything disapearing into it sooner or later... |

Thanks for your comments guys.
Nothing is fed to the tank except for light and fishfood. The green carpets are blackholes for fish that get too close, but the fish have been there for a long time.

Beutiful tank! I love the purple monti cap, but I've never seen one before. Can you point me in the right direction to find one?
Thanks, Jenny

Thanks again all for kind remarks.
The long term goal is for few large pieces rather than a growded tank of various small ones so corals will be sold as time passes. The gsp are held under control by the anemone and mushrooms. The purple Montipora was a lucky find at the store since it was still in it's shipping bag when I saw it. I'm in Iceland so it's very complicated to send you a frag. Tangs are still in the tank and they love to pose, but there are several ways to make them invisible in photographs. More pics if you like.

Still a beautiful tank. I love the way things have grown out.
I too am working on a large tank where the main corals will be large plating types of corals of different colors. I'd rather see a few large colonies that have room to grow than a bunch of small sticks croweded in a tank. Good work.
