Kold Ster-il v/s RO/DI

I was hoping to get some insights on the Kold Ster-il filtration system. A friend and I have been arguing back and forth on this thread about whether or not it could be a valid replacement for a RO/ DI unit.

I have a lot of unanswered questions and skepticism about the unit, whereas she believes it will make RO/DI obsolete.

If anyone has any knowledge or anything to add to what we've already posted, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

It has been around a long time, and has not replaced RO/DI.

I'm not a fan of it., and do not think it an optimal device for reefers. RO/DI is preferable, IMO.

Here's an old discussion of it:

Why does she think it preferable to RO/DI?

Thanks Randy. I think she just thought it was preferable because it did not create wastewater. With our big drought, water conservation has becaome a real concern around here. I think I'll be sticking with my RO/DI.
