Bear's 125 gallon Family Room Reef

I don't have time right now to give too many specs, so for now here's some pics I've recently taken.

Nope, its actually been a week since the last time I cleaned my tank

Finals start tomorrow or I would have done a WC and some normal cleaning before taking the pics.

Full Tank Shots don't look the best due to a window to the left of the tank. When I am able I will add more pics and info and will add a FTS.

Tank: 125 gallon custom acrylic with rounded front corners
Sump: 35 gallons
Skimmer:ASM G3
--2 little fishies Phosban reactor
Lights: 6x54 watt T5HO

I can't think of much else right now (too much studyn). If you want to know something else just ask

Fish List:
2 Clarkii Clowns
1 Blue Tang
1 Sailfin Tang
1 Six Line Wrasse
1 Blue Neon Goby

Coral...im not gonna try
Most are softies with a few different SPS. The idea is to fill the rest of the open area with zoas, rics, and a few more sps and LPS

Wow, I was expecting to see an SLR. Are you using a tripod and any special settings when taking those pics?

Just me kneeling on the couch in front of the tank, no tripod. It has an underwater setting that works okay, but you have to tweak it quite a bit to get the pics right.

I would love to get my hands on a SLR, but for now this is what I have and I think I'm making the best of it. Thanks for the kind comment

I am more than willing to show off some more pics if ya really liked those so much Just send a pm

The tank has been up Since Feb and was a lot of stuff was moved out of my 40 gallon that was set up in Oct.

Here's a pic of the old 40 gallon.

And here's an even old pic of when it was a FW cichlid tank.

I went to a first time FW keeper in June of 06 to a First time SW keeping in Oct and never looked back....well...other than at these pics

The tank has been through its ups and downs, bouts of ich, cyano bacteria, fish and crab eating coral, etc. As for now the tanks levels are steady and all livestock seems happy.

(Oh, the pics above were taken with the same camera as above, just before I started to take my photography seriously)

Beautiful tank. How do you store your pictures online to post them on RC? I have been using the photo gallery that RC provides, but it limits file size to 50kb so I really have to shrink them. What do you do?

I got in some new corals. A few new Zoa rocks, a pink finger leather, a magenta carnation, and a dark green frogspawn with purple tips! It's small, but u can see the new frogspawn at the top of the frogspawn pic.

I am very unhappy with the way the Zoa pics came out, so much that there is still another rock not featured in these pics. Oh well, I will try again later.
