new tank setup/build

I have plans of upgrading my 75g to a 136g custom made 40" 30" 30", the problem I have is I want to bild it into the wall that seperates my entrance to one of the bathroom walls, I would turn that bathroom into an aquarium room for all my setup. the problem is that wall is also connected to the entrance to the kitchen, would anyone sugegest if it is ok to have it build there?

thanks

this is a rough sketch of where it would be built

might wanna check with ur builder if possible or a contractor to see if that is a support wall. If it is u might wanna try another area or see what can be done to strengthen the wall after you cut into it

If you basement ceiling is not finished, see which way the joises are running, two or more nailed together with the upstairs wall running the same way, not a good idea, unless you put in a header(several 2x6's nailed together put above the tank cut out)with supports.

dude, make your tank viewable from the entry and the kitchen! even if its not a load bearing wall put a header in it anyways, whatever... i dont seee whatthe problem is here? thats an excellent place for a fish tank dude! it will be the first thing people see when they walk into your home. and you could be able to see it from the kitchen. i dont know about you, but most people spend alot of time in the kitchen, i do!

thanks m8, that was the only thing I wanted to know, if the tank would be alright there, it will not disturb the fishes as you might know some aquarium books tell you where to and not to place an aquarium so I wasn't sure thats why I asked.
