Gainesvile, FL - Cleaning out tanks, lights, skimmer, etc.

I'm still cleaning stuff out of the house and the garage. I have the following available in Gainesville, FL:

70 gal tank with stand and hood - $175

250W metal halide ballasts, 10k bulbs (quite used), sockets - 2 sets at $70 each or $125 for both sets.

Turboflotor skimmer with rio pump to drive needle wheel and smaller maxi-jet to supply input - $70

Wet/Dry filter - I bought this used and never hooked it up. I don't know much about wet/drys but I think it's OK. Email for pics. if you are interested - $65

30 gallon breeder tanks 24x24x11.5" high I have four of these, each drilled for overflow and with a single bulkhead. $30 each or $100 for all four.

I have some more stuff out in the garage, so I'll post a new thread as soon as I dig it out and sort through it.

I'll consider offers on any of the above. I may also be willing to trade something for a decent sized skimmer (for a 180) or VHOs. I can try to email pics to anyone interested. I usually only have a chance to check my messages and email in the evening.

Thanks,

Mark Gross

Interested in the skimmer. Does it work well? And will you ship?

Here is a bit more information:

The MH ballasts are Hamilton ballasts. I bought them used about two years ago, and they've been sitting in the garage in the box since then. (I decided not to put MH over my acrylic tank - just to be safe) I just fired them up again to test them one more time, and they still fire up just fine.

The bulbs are old. They light, but I would recommend getting new ones fairly soon. Reflectors are about the only thing someone would need to have a good working system (and then the new bulbs when possible).

The skimmer has always worked fine for me, and I will ship at buyer's expense. It will probably be about $10 to ship.

I'll try to respond directly to everyone who has emailed and sent PM, just to let you know where you are in the pecking order. If you don't hear from me, please email me at sekimon@bellsouth.net.

I will be busy for a few hours, but I'll be back at the PC about 11 pm ET tonight.

Thanks!

Mark

The ballasts are magnetic.

Just to make sure I am clear, these ballasts each light one bulb. I have two of them. I do not have double ballasts. Sorry for any confusion.

Flyin Fish is now at the top of the batting order for the ballasts. I will keep everyone informed.

Thanks,

Mark

Hey Mark,

I'm interested in at least one of the tanks. Would $25 be enough if I come pick it up this weekend?

Thanks, I'll email you as well.

Jimmy

MH lights are gone

Just an update. The MH lights are gone. Someone is coming to look at the tank tomorrow.

I have people who have inquired about the rest, but so far the other stuff is still available.

Thanks for all the interest.

I'm trying to attach an image with dimensions to this message. If it doesn't work, email me at sekimon@bellsouth.net.

I bought it at a garage sale because it came with a bunch of other stuff, and never used it on one of my own tanks. I don't know much about wet-drys, so I hope the picture shows you what you need.

If you have other specific questions, let me know and I'll answer as best I can.

Thanks,

Mark
