Questions about acro neighbors

Can green star polyps and zoos, palys kill and acro? I have some GSP's growing under some acros and I needed to know if it was time to trim back the GSP since the sweepers are touching the underside of some acros a bit. Zoos are still a long ways from reaching the acros. Thanks for your help.

I have seen zoos overgrow on top of acro colonies, and if i had not intervened, the zoos would have killed the acro. i dont believe they kill the stony corals by stinging them, but just by growing on top of them and blocking out the light. sometimes the zoos will stop growing at the border of the acro colony, and sometimes they will overtake the acro. it just depends in the species involved. I am not sure if the tentacles of the GSP can hurt the acro, but it can hurt the acro by overgrowing it.

Yes. Thats What I was afraid of. I have to do some new aquascaping now to either move some acros or cut the GSP. Thanks for your input.
